Description

Antioch College's Performance Department will stage a production of Henrik Ibsen's play A Doll's House, directed by Tony Dallas, from June 9th -12th at 8 p.m. in the Foundry Theater's Experimental Theater.

Set in a Norwegian town on Christmas Eve of 1879, the play tells the story of Nora Helmer, a young wife happily married to a soon-to-be successful bank manager with two healthy, joyful children. Just when everything seems to be looking up, people laced with Nora's past stir up a hushed secret; one that Nora will fight to keep hidden from her husband. In a frantic rush to tie up loose ends and pay her debts, Nora comes to a crossroads which prompts her to question the genuineness of her husband's love and devotion and the foundation that their marriage is built upon.

Featuring Parker Phelan and Jonathan Platt in the leading roles of Nora and Torvald Helmer, the play is primarily cast with student performers, including Frank Fortino, Amelia Gonzalez, Lucas Goettke, Evera Rayne, and Tatiana Dorff. Yellow Springs community members Veda Joy Rainey and Michael Trelawny-Cassity play the roles of the Helmer's children.

General admission tickets are $15. Senior, Student, and Child tickets for $10 and it is free for Antioch Community Members. There is limited seating available, so please buy your tickets early.
